A new contemporary sign in the heart of the city
In the heart of Debrecen, Hungary, behind the monumental Great Reformed Church, the Hilton Garden Inn Debrecen City Center represents an interesting example of contemporary architecture embedded in a historic urban fabric. The hotel is located on Darabos Street, a short walk from some of the most significant buildings in the city centre.
Completed in 2024 based on a design by the Hungarian firm BORD Architectural Studio, the building occupies a net surface area of approximately 4,800 m² and extends over seven levels. The project was born from the need to exploit a small urban lot in a particularly efficient way, transforming this constraint into a characteristic element of architecture.
The result is a building that does not seek to imitate the surrounding historic architecture, but to reinterpret some of its principles —rhythm, proportion and order— through a decidedly modern language. It is precisely this contrast between the sobriety of the white facade and Debrecen’s architectural heritage that makes the Hilton Garden Inn a new landmark in the city’s urban landscape.
Diamond: Technology and Performance for Contemporary Cooking
In a modern and refined context, Olis’ technological innovation integrates naturally into the project, becoming an integral part of a kitchen designed to combine aesthetics, functionality and high performance.
The kitchen at the Hilton Garden Inn Debrecen City Center was developed during the design phase by trusted dealer Amecod, who designed a solution capable of balancing the dedicated spaces, enhancing their operational efficiency.
The protagonist is the configuration that combines the equipment of the Diamond 90 with that of the Diamond 70, creating a compact and rational composition. A design choice that meets the needs of a dynamic brigade, ensuring operational continuity, ergonomics and performance, without sacrificing the aesthetic cleanliness of the whole.
