Biopolis Biomedical Research Hub, Buona Vista

Biopolis is a custom-built biomedical research and development (R&D) centre in One-North, Buona Vista, Queenstown, Singapore.

It isn’t a coincidence that this avant-garde science centre is located in a focused area of a wide-ranging research and development.

It stands infact close to the National University of Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore Institute of Technology, National University Hospital, Singapore Science Park, Ministry of Education, ESSEC Business School, INSEAD Business School and Fusionopolis.

Covering 183ha of land, the hub is aimed to benefit a range of disciplines.

The whole project of the structure has taken several years to be developped. 

Starting in 2003 with the first construction of 7 buildings where various government agencies, publicly funded research institutes and research laboratories of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies have found their seat, it ends  in 2022 with the sixth phase of development.

Research, development, innovation and technology

In this centre, important headquarter for research, development and innovation in several areas, Olis has been selected as the official partner in one of the four restaurants that are also open to the public.

The central modular solution with back-to-back positioning of the equipments was chosen in order to gain important working space  in the kitchen. One induction hob, two deep fryers, two frytops have been installed.
