Leicester College

A great contribution to the catering profesionalism

One of the best kitchen schools in the United Kingdom, the  Leicester College  has opened again his education kitchens at the Freemen’s Park after an important work of restoration.

A significant confribution to realize this project has been earmarked by the  Savoy Education Trust, an independent charity, which deals with donations and has as its main objective the advancement and development of education, training and qualifications for the benefit of the UK hotel industry.

The focus is therefore the promotion of professional growth of people who work, or aspire to work, in the world of hospitality, giving access to all the best skills to deal with this highly dynamic sector.

A STRONG COOPERATION

In the creation of the kitchen, used by about 200 students, several actors from the commercial sector in the English restaurant world collaborated with the technical and manufacturing support of Olis.

The close collaboration between  Olis  and Welbilt led to the development of this large environment with several work islands where, in addition to the neutral support units, a modular two-burner range was installed, as well as a Super FryTop 40 on a static oven.

A complete equipment format to start learning at best and an educational experience extended by the possibility of comparison between students and completed by a large intelligent connected screen aimed at improving the teaching and learning experience.

The aim has been to ensure that students have the appropriate equipment and facilities to develop the required skills by the Horeca field
